String Lessons with Deb

Teaching music is what I love to do. I am passionate about the work each student and I do together.  Encouraging and inspiring students to reach their highest potential is my greatest aim.

String Teacher

My name is Deb Schaarschmidt and I teach violin, viola and cello lessons to students of all ages and levels!

I am an enthusiastic, caring and sensitive teacher with over 15 years teaching experience and I would love to teach you!

All of my students will learn scales and exercises according to their level. I prepare students for NYSSMA competitions, personal recitals and college auditions.

In addition to teaching, I perform regularly with the BAFFA Orchestra, play fiddle with the Lonesome Moonlight String band, and am the first violinist of the Chameleon String Quartet.
